Imagination Vacation: Camp Oz

Jul 20Jul 24, 2020

Where would you go if a tornado swept up your house and carried you to another world? This week will be devoted to the classic film, The Wizard of Oz. Just like Dorothy, we will explore the magical land of Oz, and find the meaning of home. We will indulge in art projects such as popsicle stick scarecrows, magical Glinda wands, and our own personal creations of what one might find somewhere over the rainbow. With the inclusion of singing, dancing, and theatrical exercises and playing, we will conclude the week with a final performance for parents and guardians.

Forms:

Imagination Vacation is a program designed to help children ages 4-5 years, access their imaginative/ creative impulses through hands on crafts and ensemble building activities. Theater games and exercises fill the sessions, encouraging participants to express their ideas through joyful, playful outlets. The final session of each week will culminate in a showing of the process to family and friends at The Foundry.
