65th St. Ensemble

Sat, Apr 20 7:30pm

Returning to The Foundry after their fall performance in 2024, this Juilliard School ensemble hopes to continue their mission of reforming antiquated traditions of ‘concert etiquette’. They further bridge the gap between performer and audience with the household “washing machine tune”, officially referred to as the ‘Trout’ Piano Quintet in A major by Franz Schubert. This chamber music standard, accompanied with a diverse mix of other repertoire, will allow the opportunity to embrace the ‘living room’ aesthetic nature that chamber music inhabited during its historic infancy in the days of salons and W.A. Mozart.
