LGBTQ+ Pride Month Kickoff Celebration

Sat, Jun 1 7:30pm

Join us in the celebration of National LGBTQ+ Pride Month – The Foundry has curated a line-up of LGBTQ+ artists/ musicians for the month of June!

We will kickoff the month with an evening of multidisciplinary work by local LGBTQ+ artists including music, spoken word, comedy and more!

Line-up subject to expand:

Molly Weinberg – is a singer songwriter from Richmond, MA whose lyrics encourage you to laugh about her failed lesbian love life. In addition to composing, Molly is a film editor with a degree in early childhood education from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a proud survivor of two years of teaching tiny humans in the Bronx, who kept her occupied with strep throat, bronchitis, pneumonia, Covid and a delicious array of additional viral gifts. She credits her stamina to her dry sense of humor and game face.

Noh Bailey – Noh Bailey is a multi-faceted performance artist and writer based in Western MA. She has trained and appeared in works at various regional theatre companies including Shakespeare & Company, Barrington Stage, Berkshire Theatre Group, The Foundry, and others. Recently she has been dedicated her free time to a new found love of writing and playing the guitar.

Nuri – Nuri is a trans femme multi-instrumentalist musician, writer, Jewish anarchist, and mother. She lives and creates on unceded mahican land in what is known as the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. She believes in the power of creativity to build collective liberation and is dedicated to actively unmaking racist and colonialist structures in the arts.

She self-produced her first album in 1999, which you cannot find and actively performed across the region from 2002 – 2012 including shows in NYC and Boston. After a work/child-rearing induced hiatus, Nuri returned to songwriting and composing, releasing 10 singles since 2021.
