Micah P. Hinson is a singer/songwriter from Abilene, Texas with a warm, husky voice. His music has an americana/ alternative country slant, with hints of gospel and blues. Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress, his first real album, was produced in 2004 by the Earlies, Micah’s friends, collaborators and sometimes tour buddies (where they play as his backing band). In 2005, his earlier 4-track recordings were produced and released properly as an album under the title The Baby & the Satellite. Micah has toured with and opened for artists such as Will Oldham, Iron & Wine, David Gray and Calexico.

Micah P. Hinson and the Musicians of the Apocalypse most recent album ‘When I Shoot At You With Arrows, I Will Shoot To Destroy You’ was recorded in 24 hours somewhere in East Texas. There are many in this world that do not believe in The Apocalypse. There are many in this world that do believe in The Apocalypse. Yet, even with this, many would easily agree that life is made up of many starts and stops, many deaths, many rebirths- physically and spiritually. It is the inevitable way of the human condition.

Without beginnings there would be no end. With no ending there would be no beginnings. ‘When I Shoot At You With Arrows, I Will Shoot To Destroy You’ is Micah P. Hinson finding a new beginning.
