here. gone. is a contemporary song cycle for String Quartet and Voice. Written and performed by vocalist, songwriter, composer, and Berklee professor, Steven Santoro. Steven brings you this unique collection of songs as a journey through life, love, and loss.

Originally recorded with the famed Turtle Island Quartet, now Steven’s bringing here. gone. to the stage with his own quartet.

Steven Kowalczyk Santoro has enjoyed a career as a singer/songwriter and producer/ arranger throughout his years in Los Angeles, New York City and New England. A Professor at the famed, Berklee College of Music, he works with students in multiple areas of study including Private Voice Lessons, Recording Ensemble, Band Leading and Ear Training. His experience as a former major label recording artist (Atlantic), studio session vocalist, indie producer, and touring musician allows him to bring his life in the music business to his work as an educator.

He has performed as a background vocalist for Sting in “A Winter’s Night – Live at Durham Cathedral” (PBS / BBC) and has recorded jingles for major advertisers in the USA and Hong Kong including Canon, Olive Garden, Nickelodeon, NBC, Panasonic and more. Lately, Steven has been touring as a headliner in Germany, Austria, and Czech Republic Performing his original music along with standard Jazz repertoire. And while on faculty at Berklee, he has presented workshops for vocalists and instrumentalists in the USA, Canada , Europe, and Asia, including workshops for Tour Music Festival finalists in Rome. With a degree in Afro-American Music and Jazz from The University of Massachusetts, Steven is an exciting improvisor in multiple styles, expressing himself musically both in collaboration with live players and as a composer in the digital realm. He is currently composing and rehearsing an eclectic new work for contemporary string quartet and voice. As a prolific creator all around, Steven continues to expand his vision with the production of his own music videos and short films.

Parking is limited at the venue so please utilize the three public parking lots in Town. One is across from the Post Office, one is behind Berkshire Bank and the other is just off Main Street. They are clearly marked. Do not park at Trúc Orient Express Restaurant or the Post Office or you might receive a ticket.
